Digital transformation experts Protech can announce that its ProConnect software has been once again accepted on the latest iteration of the Digital Marketplace framework, G-Cloud 12. The framework supports public sector organisations to easily find and buy cloud computing services, reducing the often complex procurement process that SME’s are likely to have previously experienced.
Protech joined G-Cloud in 2014 and has been successful in being awarded official supplier status every year since then. ProConnect is an IS027001 security accredited solution, which means that public sector organisations can be reassured that their data is within a highly secure CRM and website application. This key aspect, sets ProConnect apart from other solutions within the framework.
Buyers do not need to register to procure solutions and are required to follow a simple 6-step buying process within the G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace platform. Step one starts here
Steve Jackman, Chief Operating Officer at Protech said: “Protech’s acceptance onto the framework for the seventh year running provides buyers with the reassurance that our ProConnect solution meets the very high security and technical standards that are required. G-Cloud 12 is an effective way for Public Sector procurement teams to easily and efficiently see an overview of all the services available to enable them to procure a solution which is right for them. ”
About G-Cloud and the Digital Marketplace
G-cloud is a Framework Agreement operated by Crown Commercial Services on behalf of the cabinet office and HM Treasury. The framework provides fast and controlled access for public sector organisation’s including Central and Local Government, Not for Profit Organisations, Schools, Colleges, The NHS, Police and Fire and Ambulance Services.
G-Cloud is focused on IT solutions – all cloud based due to the strategic goal to help the UK public sector adopt a “cloud first approach” to technology, specifically focusing on hosting, software and support. The G-Cloud framework will enable public sector procurement teams to quickly and easily find cloud computing services on the publicly accessible portal. As part of the framework agreement, public sector organisations can call off solutions on demand without having to go through a lengthy full tender process.
The Digital Marketplace is transforming the way government buys technology and digital services by opening the market up to small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) suppliers – 70% fall into this category. A total of 3.2 billion has been spent through the digital marketplace in just under 6 years, of which 48% is spent with SMEs.
