Protech can announce that its ProConnect solution can now support professional membership organisations to facilitate the process of submitting and reviewing event abstracts for academic conferences.
The new functionality within the events area of ProConnect supports an online self-service approach for members to easily submit their abstracts. It also supports back office processes, allowing professional membership organisations to streamline the review and decision process within the specialist back office events area of ProConnect CRM.
The solution will allow professional membership organisations to seamlessly manage their abstract process from large conferences to smaller workshop events. It can also facilitate the nomination process for awards dinners. The solution has the capability to manage an unlimited amount of abstract submissions along with as many reviewers that are necessary for each event.
A leading professional association were the first client to take advantage of this new feature within the ProConnect solution. So far, members have submitted 1362 abstracts across 12 events online. 500 abstracts have been reviewed, with subject matter experts able to login and see the abstracts that have been randomly allocated to them for review. Previously, this was a heavy manual process that was managed in excel, taking up a huge amount of resourced time.
Ian Roach, Pre-Sales Consultant for Protech said, “This new functionality will provide professional membership organisations with the capability to efficiently manage which is often a complex, manual process. Previously, the association took around 2-3 weeks to carry out this procedure manually, so streamlining this process has enabled staff to carry out other valued tasks around their events.”
